F.A.Q.

What are the VLT, IRR, UVR, SHCG, SC and TSER?
VLT: VISIBLE LIGHT TRANSMITTED
VLT value is the percentage of visible light that film/tint allows through from the exterior of a vehicle, building, or home to the interior.

IRR: INFRARED RADIATION REJECTION

Infrared radiation is electromagnetic radiation with longer wavelengths, which we basically heat! IRR value is the heat that film/tint can reject.

UVR: ULTRAVIOLET REJECTION

UVR value is the percentage of the ultraviolet radiation which a film/tint can reject. In the window film market nowadays, it can go as high as 99%.

SHGC: SOLAR HEAT GAIN COEFFICIENT

SHGC is the total fraction of available solar radiation that is transmitted through the window as heat gain. It is expressed as a value between 0 and 1, which gives the proportion of energy from the sun that passes through the glass (including frame) into an interior space.

SC: SHADING COEFFICIENT

SC is an older means of assessing the total amount of solar radiation passing through a glazing system (not including the frame) and is not commonly used now and has been replaced in literature by the SHGC.

TSER: TOTAL SOLAR ENERGY REJECTION

Total Solar Energy Rejected is the percentage of the total solar energy that is rejected by the film. TSER includes all three: visible light, infrared and ultraviolet.

What is USA and (K)?
USA or U: Window tinting film which made in United State of America (USA) or materials and qualities same as USA tint
K: Window tinting film which made in South Korea (K)

What is Sputter Tint Film?
Sputter Tint:  Made by multi-layer magnetron sputtering process technology, it has excellent performance of long-lasting reflection and heat insulation. Because of its high definition, high heat insulation, high stability, low internal reflection, pure color, never fade, long life span and many other characteristics, it is widely used in automobile industry.
Here are key characteristics of sputter tint film:

  • Manufacturing Process: Sputter coating involves ejecting atoms from a solid target material and depositing them onto a substrate, in this case, the window film. This process allows for precise control over the composition and properties of the coating.
  • Metallic or Ceramic Layers: Sputter tint films often incorporate metallic or ceramic layers in the coating. These layers can provide various benefits, such as heat rejection, UV protection, and glare reduction.
  • Performance: Sputter tint films are known for their high performance. They may offer superior heat rejection compared to non-metallic or dyed films, and they can be more durable and less prone to discoloration over time.

What is Ceramic Tint Film?
Ceramic tint film is a type of window film used for tinting windows in vehicles or buildings. It is known for its advanced technology and performance. Unlike traditional tint films that may contain dyes or metal layers, ceramic tint is made using ceramic particles that are non-metallic and non-conductive.
Key features of ceramic tint film include:

  • Heat Rejection: Ceramic tint is effective at blocking infrared (IR) rays, which helps in reducing heat inside a vehicle or building.
  • UV Protection: It provides high levels of ultraviolet (UV) radiation protection, which is beneficial for preventing skin damage and fading of interior materials.
  • Clarity: Ceramic films maintain visibility by not interfering with signals from electronic devices like GPS, smartphones, or radios.

What is Nano-Ceramic Tint Film?

Nano-ceramic tint film is an even more advanced version of ceramic tint. The term "nano" refers to the nanometer-sized ceramic particles used in the manufacturing process. These tiny particles contribute to enhanced optical clarity and a more precise control of light and heat transmission.
Key characteristics of nano-ceramic tint film include:
  • Clear Appearance: Nano-ceramic films are often optically clear, providing a natural and unaltered view through the windows.
  • High Heat Rejection: The nano-sized ceramic particles enable improved heat rejection capabilities, making it highly effective in reducing interior temperatures.
  • Durability: Nano-ceramic films are known for their durability and resistance to discoloration over time.
What is UV400 Tint Film?
UV400 Tint: All tinted film in the market can block only 99% of UV rays (ultraviolet rays). How about another 1%? why tinted film can not reject that 1% of the UV rays? The answer is those film design like that. But UV400 window film can block 100% of the UV rays included UV-A, UV-B, UV-C and UVt-Max (UVt-Max is that 1% which other tinted film can not block, which is most dangerous for human body). UV400 tinted film can block 100% UV Rays + can block Blue Light  and this film has other functions like nano-ceramic film.  (Read this link to know about Ultraviolet Radiation)

What is Carbon or Glue Tint Film?
Carbon/ Glue Tint: Uses advanced nano carbon color deposition technology. By using nanotechnology, very tiny nano-carbon particles are interspersed between film layers. The nano-carbon particles have excellent color fastness, so glue tint solar film won't fade after long term use. Besides it does not contain any metal layer, so there is no interference to wireless signals

What is Dyed Tint Film?
Dyed Tint: Dyed window tint film is mainly used for appearance purpose. This film also know as most cheaper film in the market. Most of dyed film in the market can block visible light (VLT) only. But our dyed film also can block highest percentage of ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR)

What is the difference between 1ply, 2ply and 3ply?
1ply: Contain 1 layer of the film. 1 layer of the PET film and materials + glue on top of the PET. The film mostly thiner and budget quality tinted film
2ply: Contain 2 layers of PET films. The materials sandwich between 2 PET films. Example: Liner + glue + PET + Materials (IR, UV, ceramic, metal and others) + PET

3ply: Contain 3 layers of PET films. The materials sandwich between 3 PET films. Example: Liner + glue + PET + Materials (IR, UV, ceramic, metal and others) + PET + Materials (IR, UV, ceramic, metal and others) + PET

What is mil (1mil, 2mil, 4mil etc.)?
Mil: Tinted film thickness measure by mil. 1 mil = 0.001 inch = 25.4 microns/micrometers. Most of the tint film in the market are 2mil ( standard thickness). If mil is higher, tint is more thicker. Security & safety tint are normally 4mil to 12mil

What are the One Way Mirror/ Reflective Tinted Film?

Reflective / One Way Mirror Tint: Reflective window film also called mirror window film which is one way vision architectural solar control window film. This tint reflect based on brightness and darkness (day and night differently)
During day: During day once outside is brighter/ lighter than inside house or car, the tint looks like mirror from outside. So from outside people can't see inside house or car. But from inside you can see clear outside view.
During night: During night once outside is darker than inside house or car once we on the light inside, the tint looks like mirror from inside. So from inside you can't see outside (if there is no light outside). But from outside people can see inside if you on the light
So reflective film actually work based in brightness / lightness. From lighter side can see like mirror, from darker side can see through. If both side light same, from both sides can see through (but not so clear).
